I thought some of you might be interested in this and not seen it. Definitely a strange timing to the end to her very unusual life...

Yeah, too bad. Never before has moderately good looks and almost no talent gone so far.

I enjoyed her show, and she had it tough as of late.

I suspect she overdosed on something.

RIP.

So, with her dead, her husband dead, her step-son dead (hubby's son), and her own son dead--does this mean that the legal battle for her hubby's money is now between her step-grandchildren and her 5-month-old daughter? Weird....

I was told by a lawyer that pending lawsuits that might lead to possible settlements, are not inheritable because the case dies with the "claimant"

I dunno if that is true, but if it is, then Anna's husband and baby get nothing.

BTW, I think Anna was owed the money. She gave an old bazillionare some kicks late in life, and if that ticked off the guys family and they got less for it, that's up to him, her, and his will.

My understanding is that this doesn't prevent the benefactors of ANS's estate from pursuing it themselves--or on behalf of a minor, in the case of her daughter. So maybe instead of saying "is now", I should have said "will be". But I could easily be wrong on that.

I'm not a lawyer but I don't see how her infant daughter would be entitled to any of the old coot's money since she's not his kid, if as TJR said the case dies with the claimant. But I could be wrong.

At the time of my father's death (car accident) he had a pending lawsuit with the state workman's comp board due to a disability injury that forced him into early retirement.

Before his death it was looking like they might settle at any time for several hundreds of thousands of dollars. When he died, the lawsuit died with him...or so I was told by his lawyer.

Heck, maybe the lawyer got the money.

Actually i dont believe she or her offspring or relatives get any of it. I believe she originally went for it all. Then was only alotted 89 million but then it was dropped to 0. She had the right to appeal in Federal courts but now that she is dead all the money would go to His family. but thats what the water cooler had to offer.

they are talking about it on fox now.

there was a judgement in Ca and the supreme

court upheld the judgement.

from what they are saying once the finalities are hashed

out with the billionaires family her 5 month old DAUGHTER will get

whatever money is given.

whatever....

Actually suprised she made it this long. She seems to have been in La La Land for a number of years. I feel sorry for her mother......

TJR and others, this article has some more info regarding the status and future of some of ANS's pending legal situations, including the ones about her possible inheritance from her 90 year old former husband.

Here's one excerpt:

It also wasn't clear how her death affects the lawsuit still pending against her late husband's estate. Experts in Texas, where Smith fought for millions of dollars in inheritance, said the court battles will go on.

"The claims will survive to her estate," said Charles W. "Rocky" Rhodes, a South Texas College of Law professor who has followed the complicated series of lawsuits involving Smith and the family of her dead husband.

"In criminal cases like we had with Ken Lay, where the defendant died, it was over," he said. "But in civil cases where the claim is for money, your estate and the heirs you have from the estate are able to continue the litigation in the name of the representatives of the estate."

E. Pierce Marshall, her late husband's son who had been fighting her over his father's estate, died in June. But the Marshall family vowed to continue the fight.
