The last bird on the long leg is doing the least amount of work, and after the lead fowl, who works the most, get tired, he falls back to the long leg to rest. Other then that, I've no idea.

One side of the "V" is longer than the other because there are more geese on that side. Apparently Sportrac owners are much smarter than most people!
