antenna through 3rd brake light

any have their xm wire coming out through the third brake light if so is is hard or any mods required. as well with the zabtek light allow for this??

I did mine that way, works great.

simple to do , no mods.



Just make sure you seal where the lens meets the truck.

I think I used silicone, but check the projects there might be a more specific sealant to use.



I have no water in my brakelight.

I used a Dremel to cut a notch in mine. I also used some silicone sealant around this area when I installed it. If you're planning to do the same thing, don't use a hand-held drill to cut the notch. It'll want to jump around and will make a mess of the trim piece.

I did the same as Eric. Cut a notch for the wire.

Yep, that's the way I did it on my '04. Like mentioned earlier, I put a dab of silicon in the notch, no problems and it looked clean too.

I did not need no stinkin notch . . .:lol::lol::lol: the antenna wire is not that thick. I just tightened on the wire. Works fine with no leaks.

The wire I was running, was for a GPS antenna, and it was that thick!

Yes, you can run the antenna out of the Zabteck light. This is how I have mine.
