Looking into maybe getting a phone. Just curious if anyone else has one and uses the service?

I used this program when it first came out. From the results it had good connection, clear, and many options and various other little programs with the main program to keep you ententertained. as for computer to landline i am not sure how it would work. i'm sure it would have the same results tho. My friends and I would use this program to study with each other for exams when we couldn't get together. So in conclusion, for $29/yr for any calls to any phone in the US or Canada, I think this is justified. Great program in my eyes.

I use this everyday to talk to my friends in Finland, Romania, and the UK.

Great program. $30/year for incoming calls, $30/year for outgoing.

You can download it and talk from computer to computer for free to test it out.

I downloaded it yesterday, but haven't used it yet. I've been using Yahoo! Messenger to call landlines back home. Yahoo! is one penny per minute and works pretty well from Poland. I bought a USB handset yesterday, and the sound is clearer for me and the distant callers. I saw a cordless handset which would have been really cool, but then I would have to worry about power requirements when I am traveling. The corded USB phone I bought only needs a USB jack connected to the internet, and will fit easily into my laptop case. :)

I use it on almost a daily basis as well to talk to my developers in Sweden and Shanghai. Even though my company has a company wide VoIP setup, I am rarely in the office and Skype handles the task nicely. Very little noise of loss of data packets on the lines. Sure beats burning up my cell phone minutes.
