I just got into it, and I'm now addicted! My friends and I went out late one night this week and played, and I decimated both. We did some hide and seek, and defend the fort. During the hide and seek, I was hiding in the bushes near a parking lot, my buddy cruised in real slow with my other buddy acting as gunner in the bed looking for me. They saw me, started unloading on me, and I put one right on his forehead from across the parking lot with my pistol. I started out pretty cheap, I picked up two Crosman C11 Airmag CO2 pistols (REALLY good for the money, $30 each), which I used at the match, then later I bought an M-16 electronic repeater. Anyone who likes paintball should look into this hobby.

I used to play all the time until my 3 friends I played with decided to join the army. Loved playing though. I have a fully metal M15-A4 from classic army. Get an AEG, you wont regret it.

AEG- Automatic Electric Gun, They are what the pros use. They are the best and hurt like crazy. I used to be big in it and had an Tokyo Marui AK-47 AEG, cost me $350., but was well worth it. But i sold it because there was not many around here that played. I still have my Deagle and glock, and I play usually in the summer a couple of times.

pics of the AK when I was selling it.

OK, yeah, that's what my M-16 is, except it's a cheap beginner gun, and it's only full auto. Eventually, I'll get a nicer one. As for the two pistols, I don't think I could find anything really good to replace them. 350 fps, CO2 with 15 round clips, semi automatic, and accurate as hell with .20 high density BBs. And one just got a new laser sight for hide and seek!

I guess you can say that I'm into airsoft. Here's a few pics of the guns I use:

This is everything. I don't have a pic of my KSC Glock 23F, though. My brother's got that with him.

Here's my main gun. It's a Tokyo Marui M733 with a few extra goodies. The gun is stock and fires it fires 280-290 fps and yes, the suppressor really works, but only for playing outside. I usually play with the Surefire flashlight and grip, but every once and a while I'll switch that stuff out for the grenade launcher for those "special" people. ;)

This is my cheap springer shotgun. No real need for the scope on it. My brother-in-law put it on there and its been on since. This one fires between 270-285 fps.

Here are the gas guns. They all run off of green gas. The one on the left is my KSC Steyr TMP submachine gun. This one is awesome and people always ask to see it when I go out to different fields. They don't make it anymore, so I get tons of offers from people wanting to buy it. It's a blowback gun, so it gives you a more realistic feeling when pulling the trigger. With green gas, it fires at 330 fps. If I use a stronger gas (red gas), this baby will pump out bbs at 420-440 fps. The one on the top right is my cheap $50 Socom. Can't remember the brand, but it's great for the price. Without the suppressor, it fires about 320fps; with the suppressor, it was chronoed at 450 fps on green gas! Red gas would probably break it. The one on the bottom right is my Wei-Tech 5.1 Hi-Capa Dragon. It's also a blowback gun. This one wastes a lot of gas, but I still like it. It fires around 280 fps. The KSC Glock (not pictured) is a blowback as well and fires just above 280 fps.

My brothers, a few friends and I were really into this a few years back. We'll still go out and play at a few different fields and warehouses out here every once and a while. In fact, we just went like a month ago. It's fun to play against friends, but it's even more fun when you've got about 20-30 people and you run some actual simulations and stuff. In in case any of you think I'm crazy for having all of this stuff, my brothers are worse. They've got almost twice as many guns as I do.

Anyways, have fun!

Crazy question: When you use this, how do you know who's been hit? Do they leave a mark? Or is it the honor system?

Nothing like the real thing.... guarenteed to leave a mark....

I've been thinking about AirSoft.... it's a good way to get some cheap trigger time.

Looks interesting, but I'd rather leave a big splat mark, or wail on someone I don't like and making them look like I dropped a bucket of pepto bismol on their head.

As for MilSim, check out the big game at West Point if you're in the NY area. They bring out the grenade sims and everything.

I like paintball much more. When I was deployed last we got some airsoft for "training" but it really was for fun. Customs made us leave them though =(
