Anyone Know Where The "Accelerator Control Snow Shield" Is Located?

I discovered this in my 2004 Ford Sport Trac Shop Manual while looking up info on the Throttle Position Sensor that I busted during the install of the Zabteck Throttle Body.



The Accelerator Control Snow Shield is...



The $18 plastic piece that we all commonly refer to as the Throttle Body Cover!:lol:



Some rocket scientist at Ford probably got paid waaaayyy too much money to come up with that name. No wonder they can't turn a profit consistently:blink:

Funny they would call it a snow shield. So many other ford products, dont have a cover..

Actually, after driving in a blizzard I saw mine covered with snow.

Check it out on Snopes.com, that part was named during a UAW contest to "Name that part". The winner got 7 vacation days more per year and a raise to 48.50/hr.
