AOL is kicking back all of my email sent to their members. Don't know why so I need to call their tech support, but no numbers on their website. Anyone here use AOL and have a number for me to call?

They probably see it as being spam mail. Are you sending out a lot of them at once?? AOL was trying a little bit back to start charging per e-mail sent to thier members. Don't think it went through though....

Larry,, it's just a couple of mails at the time....

Just called them and AOL SUCKS!!!!!!!!! They won't talk with me because I'm not their customer. They don't care if I cant email their members..........

Here is the error I get back from AOL:

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

The date of the message is: Sun, 03 Sep 2006 21:22:00 -0400

No action is required on your part. Delivery attempts will continue for

some time, and this warning may be repeated at intervals if the message

remains undelivered. Eventually the mail delivery software will give up,

and when that happens, the message will be returned to you.

Looks to me as if AOL is having problems on thier end or thier email client servers arenot dumping deleted mail. Therefore they are full..

LaRue,

It could also be a problem with your ISP's servers. You might try giving them a call.

See link for AOL's postmaster:

LaRue,

If it just started happening it looks like there may be a problem with aol. Like kefguy said also check with whoever is hosting your mail server. I know if there is not a reverse DNS set up AOL will always reject your mail from being delivered. They do this to try and cut down on spam.

Just talked with my hosting company.. seems to be AOL blocking some of their addresses. Supposed to be fixed within 48hrs. Until then I'm told to use my satellite ISP mail server.... okkkkkk,,,,,:unsure::huh:

Can't imagine anyone using AOL exclusively for their personal e-mail. With a million other FREE and SUPERIOR services available like Hotmail or Yahoo!...

AOL is an amazing entity. It is like crack. Once you have it, it is so hard to give it up. When I went from AOL to just broadband from my cable company, I thought about keeping AOL. Took me about a day to realize that AOL just sucks. It puts everything there in one place. Easy to learn how to use and little setup required. You mail is right there when you log on, internet is right there. My sister in law finally got broadband, yet she insists on keeping her AOL account. I set it up for her e-mail and everything. She used it for a bout a week, until she had to send mail with a picture in it. She called me asking me how to attach the image. I walked her through it, she did it once and went back to her AOL mail. She saidwas way to difficult to use Outlook to mail something (there wasn't something that said "attach pic" for her to click on...)

LaRue,

AOL email is terrible. I have never had much if any sucess in emailing anything to anyone with an AOL email address, Even when I am only replying to their emails.

You may want to check with your IP. Perhaps they have allowed to many spammers to send out unsolicited email and the mear fact that you use their email service labels you as a spammer??
