Istalled the Job 2 plastic throttle body yesturday. Went smoothly - took a test drive and could feel the difference. Driving to work this morning the check engine light came on. The irony is the trac seems to be running smoothly with just a slightly higher idle which I had expected. Do I take it back apart and start over? Think I will take it to Auto Zone for a code read.

Thanks for any help.

Rachel is right, the tps only rotates one way. If it runing right though. Maybe you didnt give it enough idle learning time. When I replaced mine. I didit with the motor cold. Then I let it idle for 5 to 10 minutes at operating temp, before I droveit. Could try and diconnect battery after cool down. Then do that idle proceeder..

Sound like you might have broke the TPS sensor on the TB when you put it onthe trac

Don't forget to put a coversheet on your TPS report.

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/FfY2qIsFxio&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/FfY2qIsFxio&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Check to make sure you switched the gasket from the old one to the new one.. It is blue...

Second as Rachel said, it is more then likely the TPS was broken during the switch over...

I see close to 1 a month that way...
