I need to know whether or not the Adrenalin headunit will put out audio to the door speakers even though the sub/amp is disconnected from the headunit.
I'm getting close to upgrading my Audiophile system and I recently acquired an Adrenlin headunit as part of the process. However, the two harnesses for the Audiophile are incompatible with the Adrenalin's. I was able to get the larger harness spliced into an adapter that fits into the Adrenalin and it gave it power, took in CDs, and the tuner worked, but...with no sounds at all. This is as far as my testing has gone to see if the Adrenlin hu actually works (I trust the seller but still).
When I plugged my Audiophile headunit back in, without connecting the sub/amp harness, I was still able to get sounds from the door speakers. This lead me to believe that perhaps the Adrenalin headunit has no internal amp. In fact, when I look at the Audiohpile headunit I see heatsinks on it while the Adrenlin doesn't have any visible.
I would just hate to upgrade all my audio to find out that the headunit it was built around on is out of commission.

It's just I was under the impression that the 03 Adrenalin is different than the 04s and 05s. If not, chime in by all means! I've yet to find an answer!
