CoastieJoe, could you check on something for me? I'm looking for two catalytic converters for a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. The dealership is going to charge an obscenely high amount of $$$. Thanks in advance.

Mike, you can use aftermarket converters. Just have the parts store or muffler shop spec them to your car. A good muffler shop can weld them in. Also the converters are covered by a fedral EPA warranty for 8yrs and 80k miles. My niece just had the one on her firebird warrantied at the dealer at 50k miles. I wouldnt use salvaged coverters.
