Mike I have never heard of this chain. By any chance do you know if they are looking to expand south at all? say Va??

I've never heard of Big Y either. Wegmans doesn't have any stores in the MA CT area. It's a rochester ny based company with 71 stores in NY, PA, NJ, MD and VA.
Woppy, The company I work for, Wegmans, has 2 stores in VA. Dulles and Fairfax with Leesburg, Woodbridge and Lake Manassas slated to open in the next couple of years.

No plans to move that far (Yet???). Great company. FAMILY owned so no shockholders to please. Thanks to Todd, as we pride ourselves on clean stores and customer service. They are proud to be American owned and they give quite a bit to the community. I have been in the Air Guard for almost 20 years and they have been extremely supportive on all my deployments(been there since 1985 bagging groceries at 16). Nice to meet another "Produce guy"

yes it definitly is nice to meet another "produce guy". Our companies are very similar, family owned, private stock, priding ourselves on cleanliness and great service as our slogan is "everyday you get our best". I've only been in the business just over 4 years but love it, as being in produce you get such a variety of items and they change as the seasons do. Best of luck and thank you for your service to this great country we live in.

OOOPs, that would be "stockholders". I started with shareholders but changed it and didn't backspace far enough! Nice Wegmans website. Check us out at www.bigy.com. Which location are you at? Right now I am in the Ludlow, MA location.

Thanks for that link. I'm in search of a large sized tenant for a shopping center I am in charge of leasing and you never know what might happen just from asking a few questions.
