Todd,

Just curious. Is there reason you used the daystar kit vs the prothane.

Inquiring mind....LOL

Ed,

I looked at both, physically and mentally..... I felt they would give me the best ride and what not.... also they had metal molded in them for certain fitments.

This decision was made before installing, once I saw how the install went, and how you re use the ford crap and ( you must with both) I would love to install a Prothane kit to compair...

But with the 1 change I made with the B and C location and the washer I am 100% happy with the Daystar.....

Sorry thats clear as mud but its huge decision.

Thanks Todd,

I would have contacted you about a kit. But I had an emergency. As I posted previously, my B & C OEM bushings were gone, one day, both sides. I knew they were rotting. I never expected them to fall out. I thought I had a few months left, spring maybe. My cab was loose and rattling. I had to jack it up and drive wood wedges in place temporarly.

I went with the prothane for the direct fit. I wasnt' going to do the work. So I didnt' Want to confuse my body shop guy.

My A position bushings werent the same material, and still good. So he just put the B, C and D bushings in. The ride and stability is very good. I honestly beleive better than new. It is a truck, ford craped out using what they did.

Be nice if we lived closer to compare. I bet it is a toss up, actualy.
