audio gurus... looking to pick your brain

I was wondering if the member of this site new specifically the model number of some 10" subs I can expect to be able to fit behind my back seat down the road. I know the MTX 4500 series does. Im looking for others as well.

Big D, What i'd do is find out the mounting depth of the MTX 4500, and when looking around for subs, just make sure its the same or less...



I beleive the best sub for the application is called a Image Dynamics ID10v3 I beleive is the model name, shallow mounting, and supposed to be a superb subwoofer.



Ive been into car audio all my life.



Hows Cowtown so far???? See lots of tracs here, but not much done to them if anythign at all, You and I prolly own this town for ST mods haha...

Unless you plan to get REALLY creative you need a sub with a mounting depth of 5" or less.

The old boston pro's...the newer fosgate p1's i believe...all i can think of at the moment.

thanks ck. Its great so far. Like my job and exploring calgary. Havent had too much time to do it, although I have deerfoot, mcknight, macleod and anderson road pretty much memorized. I have seen a fair amount of tracs but only mine seems moded so far, I was wonderin if i would catch you on the road... hahaha.



I owuld love to find a way to fit some JL Audio's back there. Im just partial to them from past experiences, but im keeping my options open.

JL W0 8's fit, but I don't know if any of the others do too..

If you can find them the old jl 10w6 fits I have two of them under my seat and they pound, I think the depth is like 4 9/16 or something.
