I am thinkin about putting 2 10's in my storage space in the back. I only really want to put in subs, amp, and maybe tweeters. I dont really want to put in a new head unit. I dont like all those colors like the red and blue and stuff. I would much rather keep the stock head because it just looks nice and someone wont come in and jack it. My only question is will this factory head still give me the sound quality a aftermarket would? I mean a little diff. wont be too much but i dont want it to be garbage. Any help would be nice. i put the link for the pioneer subs i want. By the way i have a '04 Pioneer 6-disc factory head.

Aftermarket, is a whole new system. It would make it sound twenty million times better. and also Aftermarkets usually have settings that will bring the subs out more than the stock. I would go aftermarket. IMO

Those subs won't fit behind the seats without a big headache. Need a mounting depth of less than 5" to fit easily.

If you get a good quality equipment it should sound good, you just won't have all the tweeking possibities of an aftermarket head unit.
