Hey Krash, Check out the Olympus D500 combo kit a Ritz Camera which includes 2 lenses; a 14-44mm and a 45-150mm. Retails for $699, but by that time you buy the Ritz 2+ year warrenty, Olympus digital flash, etc. it's just under $900. I still have an Olympus OM-1 from 30+ yrs. ago too. :D Ritz also gives you free digital camera classes with the package.

Thanks Rodger, but I'm not looking for a new camera right now... Last thing I need is more 'information overload' with yet ANOTHER owner's handbook!

Hay Krash,

Where was that shot of your Mustang taken? Kind of looks like out on the drive around Pt Pinos in Pacific Grove (and Asilomar). I was up there last week myself, but not for the race.

I was just kicking back and relaxing at my place in Del Monte Forest. I passed Laguna Seca on my way home to SoCal on Saturday.

Jack,

I got all the stuff for the Mustang figured out... It's the new stereo in it, new mountain bike, new TV at home, new home theater systems at both houses, new lap top, new hot tub, new racing kart, learning corporate tax laws, estate tax laws, landlord laws, learning the quirks to how the new P.O.S. system at the restaurant runs... I'm overloaded with new info!

Bob,

This was my FIRST time in Monterey itself, so I don't know... (I've been to the U.S. Open at PB, but we were 'bussed in' from Fort Ord.) Looking at Terra Server, it says we were at Pt. Pinos in Pacific Grove. I know that there was a city golf course right at the corner when we came back out onto Ocean View Dr. from where we stopped to take the picture. We didn't have a whole lotta time to go sightseeing... But I did want a shot of the Stang at the ocean! If you live in that area, you got WAY too much money! LOL

(I know, you inherited it...)

My friend lives at Del Monte Beach, 3 blocks from the beach right there at Casa Verde & Del Monte. Quite close to LS, with a nice 360 degree view of the airport, ocean and Fisherman's Wharf & Monterey!

Krash,

You were right where I thought you were. Every time I am up there (a lot), I drive that section at least one time to see the views.

My vacation home is all the way around the point and up into the Del Monte Forest, about half a mile up the road from the Inn at Spanish Bay. I just came back from spending a week up there. My son is going up there tonight to spend the holiday weekend and I will be going up again the week before Fathers Day.

Damn Bob, you live in the 'nice' part of town... I can't come see you, they'll think I'm the gardener...

And I shouldn't say that my friend 'lives' there, as he lives in Tahoe. The house is his parents, and it's their family vacation home, as they live in Sunnyvale. But at least I got beach!

And you picked a good day to leave, as it never did warm up all day! Sunday wasn't a whole lot better, but Monday was nice. We went to a restaurant at the American Tin Cannery building in PG for breakfast Monday morning, I think it was called 'Great Awakinings' or something close...

Hey Krash, are you the guy that passed me and my family on hwy 1, in our escalade, I thought I recognized that blue gt, Does your license plate resemble the car?? BLUGT or something?? Why you drive so crazy? We want your info to inform the athorities. And by the way do you have the pink slip for that thing, cause I wouldn't mind having a convertible to keep the fast red one happy. R U ready for heker pass againg?

Sorry Glen,

It was a Denali... And stop driving in the left lane at the same speed as the vehicles in the right lane. Get a Driver's Handbook and read it, eh buddy?

And I'm moving down to Watsonville, just so I can drive Heckler Pass EVERY DAY!!! And maybe if you put some shocks & struts on that Stang of yours, you might not lose it. It would just sit in my garage, next to the Grabber Orange CS I'll be ordering next week. :)

Lil Red - I don't know the track so bear with me.

Find seating that is near one of the turns, that is a tough turn. That is where the most contact occurs as well as spins.

Next-get a pit pass so that you can see all the teams up close. Especially on practice and qualifying.

We did this for Champ car last week in Portland. It was more interesting than the actual race.

Lil Red,

I replied to your e-mail, but most of the contact at LS takes place on turn 2, (Andretti Hairpin) turn 5, the Corkscrew, and turn 10 (Rainey Curve) This is the view from the turn 4 grandstands... You can see turns 2, 3, 4, and 5 from there.

Thanks Krash, i'll purchase my tickets for the Turn 4 Grand Stand!

SST, I'll see if they are selling pit passes for Moto GP and how much $ they are. This is turning into a fairly expensive trip, mainly becuase me and the wife are flying in and having my bike shipped to Cali from Texas for the weekend. But what the hell, it's only $$ and you only live once;)

hot red gt,

Nah, I need a couple more weeks before I can drive the 'Stang... It still takes me both hands to shift into 5th. Besides, the Mustang's on it's way to Tahoe Wednesday night for the rest of summer. It's too hot for ragtops down here in the valley now...

How about Hwy 50 between Twin Bridges and the summit?
