It was a long week of appointments and driving, but I returned home yesterday from Germany. While I was gone, I managed to visit Paris and Luxembourg.

LUXEMBOURG, LUXEMBOURG

Nelson,

Thank you for the slide shows. It has been almost 30 years since I lived in Europe and visited both Paris and Lux. Your pictures brought back that feeling of wonderment I enjoyed while experiencing different cultures.

Thanks for sharing,

R.T.

Did you get to the military cemetery in Hamm while you were in Luxembourg? It is where Patton is buried. I was there in 1990, was really a site to see.

TJR, I use a Canon PowerShot A2000 IS. It has a 6X optical zoom and is 10 MP. I am still learning the features, but even still I have taken some awesome photos with it.

Tom (Caymen), No. I didn't get engaged. I'm beginning to have some doubts about her, but she did go along and we had a great time. :)

i1tech, The whole side trip to Luxembourg was done on a whim. I finished my medical appointments at 10, and just jokingly said let's go to Switzerland. She pointed out that Luxembourg is only 90 minutes away, so that is where we went. We knew nothing about the place when we got there, except that the language is French.

R.T., I have to agree. I will miss my job when I retire. Even though some parts really suck about being in the military, it does have its benefits. I can think of no better job, since I get paid to do my hobbies (computers/internet and traveling). Then I take along the camera to indulge my third hobby.

There was one perfect girl left, but she got married on 9/30/06. Well, she is close enough to perfect for me.

There is one out there.

Nice pictures. Been to both those places myself. Dont think it was a very good idea to wear a USAF PT jacket....not very good OPSEC!!! (operational security) You never know who is out there and US Military is the best target!!

Adrnln High,

Well, I only had a winter coat and it was too hot for that. I had a PT jacket so I wore that. I think Luxembourg is a low threat area. I'd more likely be offered a free beer than be shot over it. lol

Bill, Here you go:

Awsome pics! Thanks.

BTW: I didn't know stuff in Europe was getting so old and dilapidated. They need to know down some of that stuff and rebuild it with newer stuff.

Yeah, they are wasting a lot of space too. I didn't see one skyscraper in Luxembourg or Paris. I don't know why they are still living in the stone age.
