Ok, I have been reading at the Explorer explorations forum that ball joints and tie rod ends may be causing some of the noises I am hearing.

My ST is getting up there in mileage and I have never replaced any of these parts. The ST has been lifted 80% of it's life by the TT/Shackles. So should I go ahead and just replace all these parts?

Also took my ST off road for the 1st time last weekend. WOW I am hooked now, my friends told me I had the ST airborn a few times, SWEEEEEEEET! Went up hills I never imagined the ST could handle. Cant wait to go wheeling again.

jack the front end up and grab the tire on the top and bottom look for any play, for the tie rod ends grab it from the side and look for play, watch the tie rod end it self to make sure its not just the steering linkage moving
