before I break it....

Before I break it - I have a 2001 and I just want to remove the air filter cover. I see the two metal clips which hold it but after I loosen it it stays put.



I dont want to force it - is there someting elese holding it in place. Or does it just require a good pull.

give it a good pull or try removing the air tube also and then giving a good pull.

all that holds it in place ar the 2 clips. also when you pull it off pull towards the intake

tube and up a bit should just pop off. good luck.

You just got to get up on it! Might hit a few nuckles. Just got to pull hard to get it out.

IT may simply be stuck to the airfilter rubber trim.....



As Paul said, Remove the intake hose and lift up on the hose side, it will come loose..

Time to get an intake and replace that box!
