Besides a trany flush, what else is needed at 30k maintenance?

2wd, 4wd?

For good preventative maintainance... (4wd)

Transfer case, Fuel filter, air filter, wiper blades, Front and rear diffs, coolant.

Leave off the transfer case and front diff if not 4wd.

Todd - it's a 03 2wd.

The service manager asked if I had a dip stick for the transmission. He mentioned if I didn't then I wouldn't need a Transmission flush.

Brian, the ST does have a tranny dip stick. Some vehicles have "sealed trannys" and, from what I've read, don't require flushes. Your ST does need a flush.

I would find a new Dealership If they don't know that the Sport Trac has a dipstick....

I think some regular explorers have sealed trannys, not 100% on that. Some manual trannys do have dipsticks... most do not...

Todd - I though it was kind of odd that the service rep had to ask me if my trany had a dip stick. Oh well...too late now. It's in the shop!
