I need to order a monitor for my POS (Point of Sale) computer system that sits on the counter for customers. I need to order it online as I don't have time to run around time shopping for prices/value, etc.

17" flat screen.

Who do you recommend?

Best Buy seems to take a few to several days before they ship.

Thanks,

SST

I bought this one for my father and he loves it. It's nice and bright, clear, and arrived w/o any dead pixals.

Another shout out for NewEgg. Shipping is reasonable and ULTRA fast.

Also, I would suggest this Samsung model if you must have a 17", because you said it is for POS and given that fact the height and angle adjustments that this model provides might be of value.

I suggest Samsung because they are rock-solid, top of the line.

Oh, and as far as best prices, use a site like NewEgg or Amazon to narrow in on the monitor you want using the customer reviews, then do a google search for the exact monitor make and model number and find it in a pricing engine like pricecompare or nexttag, etc., to see who has the best price (including shipping).

The ones from my wife's company are not the cheapest things but they're brutally tough and you can't beat the warranty.

Good luck with it, SST. Another reason I recc'ed that one is it as Analog/VGA inputs as well as DVI....that latter making it a little more future-proof.

I can second the monitor Brian linked. I've had mine for about 6 months with no problems and NEWEGG is the best;)!
