Betty White to the DNC Convention?

There's a rapidly-expanding Facebook and Twitter drive to send Betty White to the Convention. I'd like to see what she'd do and say.

I hope what she'd say is better than her skits on that awful Off Their Rockers show. Or her lackluster most recent interview on The Tonight Show.

I'm not usually one to take alot of interest in politics, definitely not proud of that because I could be alot more informed than I am. Having said that, I DO wish we wouldn't make such a comedy skit of things. just my opinion, but it seems to have gotten to be who can be the funniest and most sarcastic. This election is for the President of our country, is it not? Maybe I've had too many Huber lagers tonight. :soap:

If people thought that the Clint Eastwood speech was boring and sounded like the ravings of someone who had lost their marbles, well, I pity them enduring the Betty White speech. I can't imagine it being engaging or her having verve when presenting it.

Ok, I've been incredibly sarcastic. Betty White holds about as much importance in my life as the toenail clippings I just shot off the front porch. At least Clint Eastwood is relevant and successful in his sphere of influence, Hollywood.

It has always amazed me that the media seems to think that a person's celebrity status somehow makes their political views more relevant than a truly intelligent thinker. Very sad commentary on today's media moguls.
