Lock De-Icer only works in the lock cylinder and not the door latch/lcok mecnanism. My point is that if the electric door locks, which do not turn the lock cylinder, cannot unlock the door, you still may not be able to undlock the door even with a thawed door lock cylinder?
Graphite is fine, however if moisture gets into the door it can still freeze and instead of just ice, you now have graphite mud which can be much harder to get unjammed.
I used a product by LiquidWrench that is a spray lubricant with teflon. The liquid part of the spray evaporates an leaves behind a dry teflon coating that repels moisture and will not clog up the locks like graphite can.
Of course, I live in Texas now and frozen locks is not a frequent problem down here.
