Blinker on right side

I have a 03 sport trac when the wheel is tilted all the way up the blinker works great. But when I tilt it down at all the blinker flashes fast like a bulb is out. Checked all bulbs they are ok. It seams to be in the wheel when I tilt it just on the right side.Has anyone had this trouble.

Common problem, the connector in the steering column gets loose with the movement. Try to take the cover off the steering column and push the pins back in the connector.



Also, refill the blinker fluid reservoir...

Easy to test to see if this is your issue.



Tilt the column to a different location and see if it comes back.



If so, you have the wire harness issue. It is covered under a TSB if your Trac is still within it's coverage...

It has 60000 it is out of warrtt. where is it show in the tsb yes when I tilt it all the way up it works fine

I always go with the synthetic blinker fluid.

You can go DAYS without having to change it!!!
