My wife wants a Z3. I might get her one for her 40th birthday coming up soon. Anyone on here had one or know someone who has? Know any good or bad stuff about them? Thanks for any info. :D

All of them now are kinda high-mileage, so proper maintenance is of an utmost concern. Hopefully the timing belt(s) have be replaced, radiator has been replaced, the thermostat housing is replaced...all I can think of right now.

BMWs love brakes, so be prepared for that..rotors and pads.

The big motor is really, really fun, but for her, the smaller motor is probably better.

Get one in dark green with the black and brown interior...delicious.

Thanks for the info, Tiger. Yeah, she doesn't care about performance. She even wants an automatic. YUK!!

Dewd, did you say delicious ?????:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I've had one for about 5.5 years now and it has been trouble free. Brakes and rotors are not an issue (have 40k on it now, original pads and rotors and I drive it hard) They stopped making them in 02, but there are still a bunch around with low miles due to the fact that they are not daily drivers for a lot of people. Good info can be found in the link...Gratuitous shot of mine :)

Had one and my wife hated the seat so much I had to trade it off

Got a vette instead and it is a far superior car. It has more room, much faster, more comfortable and gets the same gas mileage.
