Excuse my ignorance as gambling isn't familiar to me but am I reading that to say you've won $10k?

Yep. I won $10,000. It cost $31.65 in postage to send it off to the lottery office in Madison, WI... registered mail.

Congratulations! Just curious as to why it cost $31.65 to send the ticket to the lottery office? Registered mail is not that expensive? So did you have to send it overnight or express delivery, insured for $10k? etc???

It's a $30 ticket. It took balls to spend that much, but there was a 1:3 chance that I'd at least break even.

The postage was $31.65 for insurance and registered mail. The postmaster said that I should insure it as if I was sending cash, so it was insured for $10,000.

Mark,

Contratulations again, and it was smart to insure the ticket. I guess $31.65 is not so bad if you stand to get a check for $10K. :supercool:

Spend it wisely

Nice one. Last week I played my cell phone number for the daily play 4 number nightly drawing It came out straight.... in the daytime drawing the next day. I only played that one night. Ugh, it would have been $10,832.00.
