Hey everyone. I did a quick search and didn't find anything, so hopefully I'm not asking something that's already been discussed.

I just took my trac in to have the front brake pads replaced. They told me that the pistons in the brakes were cracked. Has anyone had a similar problem? If so, what did it take to fix it?

Thanks!

It is common with the phenolic pistons. See if they will replace them with lifetime rebuilt calipers.

It's not something new. As Fast Eddie said, common problem. Unfortunately if it's a dealer, they will put the OEM crap one's back in, if it's not a dealer, have them do as Eddie said (replace the whole caliper) or see if they can replace them with some metal ones that will fit. (may be hard to find);)
