bumper pads

Can i just pop the bumper pads off the back and paint them with that bumper paint stuff from Auto Zone? Has anyone did this?

I've never seen an ST with bumper pads. Do you have a picture?

Yes, they will just pop off.



Not sure if they will accept the same paint but I would think so. Seems as though they are the same material as the bumper. Wouldn't hurt to try.

Yes you can paint them prep them good first. Pry them off with a long screw driver becareful not too break the tabs (or too many). Put the screwdriver head near each tab and pull up gently work your way down. I painted the pads off the factory steps( same material) with bumper paint. I cleaned them good sprayed on a plastic prep, plastic primer then the bumper paint. No problems yet my daughter steps on them all the time. If you do not prep good first the paint will peel off. Found out the hard way doesn't pay to do a quick job). Good Luck
