Regarding being "too old", that's why I said "have the proper documentation".
Most states you can file a lemon law suit on a vehicle up to 3 years old, as long as the first occurence of the issue is within the first year/12k miles of ownership.
You are right though about Woppy, I didn't realize his ST was an '03...probably too old for most states to file the claim.
The other options are to return everything to stock, give them one more fix attempt (I assume Woppy has an extended warranty), then if that doesn't fix it, dump it. Would be nice to be able to get the cost of the extended warranty out of the dealer (again, assuming Woppy has one), but the dealer has no incentive to do that...frankly, Woopy, seems to me you have no leverage.
Another option...built a nice 6 foot high sandwich board, put in in the ST bed, put lettering on it: "This LEMON built by Ford, Sold by xxxx, and Can't Be Fixed!", or somesuch, and drive it around your 'hood.
