Gabe,

Google man...google. Call 1-(800) 252-8980 and press 3, for all questions Illinois Driver License Related.

I live in IL and have most of my life. Small town of 1500 and until recently didn't go by street addresses only by POBox #'s and most here have a legal drivers license. I think the catch is that it has to be your permanent address where you get ALL your mail and it has to be USPS. Go to the local US Post Office in IL and ask. Or Google.

On my GA license, I have a PO Box. I had to give them a physical address, though, for their records and mailing.

If your profile is correct and you still live in Evansville, IN my guess is the answer is "No". If you don't reside in the State, you have no right to get a license there, unless you are domiciled there as a military member. I retain my Florida license until I retire, even when I am overseas, because The Soldier and Sailor's Relief Act allows it.

Here in NC, you can get a DL without an address, social security #, or even citizenship.....as long as you're not American.

Sorry no help. I couldn't resist.

It probably varies from state to state, but most states will require the physical address where you live. They may also require your Mailing address just so they can mail you your license or renewal notice, etc.

Just to add in my two cents not about the license but about the state, Illinois' license plate laws blow! Oh, and the website sucks as all the FAQ and instructions follow the thought that you're magically already a resident of the state. -rant over-
