Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone has come across any alternative toppers beside the ARE and snug. I did find this interesting article from Truckin http://www.truckinweb.com/features/0110suv_sport/index.html which featured their Tsunami project with a canvass topper made by Can-Back http://www.can-back.com. THough Can-BAck's site doesn't list the ST, I gotta believe the have it hence the pics of the Tsunami. This or any other permutations sure look interesting to me as it would afford the protection of a shell and be easily taken down to haul the neighbor's freezer hehe.

i'm assuming you want a topper style cover, but if you want a low cost tonneau, i just made this one for under 70 bucks for my '02 ST.

i'm trying to work up a page for the projects section for the cover. unfortunalely i didn't take pics as i was building it, but do have the measurements, hardware list, etc.

photos in my library.

Yeah, a topper is what I'm after but a canvas tonneau might be in my future as well and I'll keep an eye out for your project posting. My OE Tonneau is showing it's age with cracks and such underneath. somehow it didn't like the 100 or so lbs of ice and snow this year hehe

I have a Leer 100XQ on my 07' They also make the base model (100XL?) for the Gen 2. If I had to do it again, I would have saved $400 and bought the cheaper one. Probably more options for the Gen 1, I found very few for the Gen 2. Not sure the canvas ones would last very long, especially if they are exposed to the elements.
