Does anyone have a defroster setup on their cap? I know i can use the liquid stuff to get the ice off, but i ran out today and it had about 1/4" of ice. Are there any options for this?

thanks in advance,

HI DanG - I'm sure there are some aftermarket kits that would be for a rear window of a car that you could put on the cap. That's what I would look for. The 12v is already in the bed. The kit should come with the wiring needed to put a switch in the cab.

You can use the universal stick on kits.....

Ton of freezing rain here on Tuesday. On the wife's car and the Neon that sit out, I just let 'em run for a half hour or so with the defroster on full blast and max heat. Then you can knock it off pretty easy. On a Trac the sliding window probably precludes putting a defroster on it unless you give up ever putting the window down.

JohnnyO - I thought he mentioned his cap, as in the cap on the bed of the trac. That's why Todd and I mentioned the stick on kits.
