About how much do double axel car trailers weigh?

The car weighs in at 3,600. I know we have a 5000lb weight limit (01 4x4)

so i was curious if the weight of the car and trailer would be pushing the 5k limit

thanks,

The basic ones are as tom said 1400 But i think the ones you rent may be up to 1700.

If your going a short distance and the trailer has brakes you should be fine, O/D OFF and no hard starts or stops, But for the long haul you may want to think about doing that...

Good luck

Im in for 500 miles each way. Tow Dolley seems reasonable. It is a front wheel drive car.

So... Tow speed max 60?

OD must be off even if nothing but highway driving?

My dad has a tow dolly. I have towed with his Tow Dolly at 70 MPH and it pulled fine. I do have brakes on our dolly though.

I have rented several Dolly's from that bad name place and others from other places, A FWD car will do fine on it and O/D off 60-70 is fine....

The tow dolly is around 400-700 LBS...
