I got a CB antenna today, and already installed it, but I have an issue with it. I can't pull into my garage with it in place. I have to remove the mast. It's a magnetic K30. Any ideas on placement, wire routing, etc that would maintain the clean look of my truck?

You haven't rigged a power CB antenna yet?

Is it Blue?

Breaker, breaker good buddy!

Next year there's gonna be a "convoy" to Louisville I'll bet.

They make short antennas...........

The k40 is a twist on/off mount from what I remember....

ohhhh.... Sorry..

I can get a K40, though, if needed, but to work, it needs to be higher than the truck anyway. Ugh.

If it helps the thinking process, here's how it is now:

I would simply take a piece of coated metal fold it in a "C" and bend it around the tannou cover Right in the middle of the rear window...

Close the cover on it and then stick the antenna mag base on that....

If the antenna hits the back of the truck a cool BLUE racket ball on there will protect the truck..

Geez......I didn't think people used CB's anymore. Not since the invention of the cell phone. I was a member of the OC Channel 18 CB Club back in the early 80's. I had a 1000watt amp wired to the battery and broadcast like a base station.

About 20 years ago, I had a magnet mount setup on my car with a collapseable antenna so I didn't have to remove the antenna or the mount while parking in a garage, etc. I don't know if they even make those anymore.

I'd say your only other option would be something like what TRACket posted above if you don't want the hastle of taking your antenna off each time you pull into your garage.

I do not have any pics but mine is mounted on my rear bumper. I forget the brand name but it is like a fiberglass style that I can bend in a loop. They say it "wont" break:huh:
