Mine is just a portable all in one hand held. With a magnetic anttena base. Dont use it much anymore. Stays in the case under the rear seat.

My two-way radio for EMS use is mounted on the passenger side of the high console. I use a glass-mount antenna on the back window (the left fixed one).

How does the antenna do with reception?

The radio is programmed for around 155 mhz and is 45 watts. I've been able to hit repeaters from 150 miles away and talk car-to-car from 20 miles away.
