cel back on after replacing egr valve

Well...I replaced the egr valve according to the code they gave me..it was a 401 code...i disc. the battery and it went off...drove it around for a while and the light CEL light came back on...after searching and reading a few previous posts is it possible to say i need to have the tube going to the egr valve cleaned...or possibly replace the DPFE sensor????

Replace the DPFE sensor. The EGR valves usually don't go bad. People replace the EGR valve when the DPFE sensor was the actual problem. Most mechanics and parts store have no clue as to how to fix the problem.



The DPFE is the problem.

Caymen is correct. I'd be shocked if it was the actual EGR itself..
