Center Console

My 2001 ST did not have the center console with the rear air and heat. The dealer said that they believe I cannot add it. Does anyone know if I pick up a center piece from a salvage yard if I can install it in mine? I am assuming that the wiring harness and air channel access would be there and available for this option.

I am pretty sure the Job 1 version did not come with it. Job 2 up and then removed again in the 04 model year.



Bust yes, you can get one from a yard and install it. From what I have read the wire harness is not there and you will need to run a 12 volt plus/hot wire. If you get a COMPLETE console you'll be fine. You need the mounting brackets and the ductwork to get the A/C to the rear.

Just to clarify, i have an 04 XLT prm with full console. It does have rear AC with controls. No audio stuff though like in previous models.
