was at the mechanic for an oil change...told me my front right wheel bearing is going bad...he could move the tire side to side about an inch or two...but i don't hear any noise when im turning left so i don't think its too bad yet...gave me an estimate of 450 with parts and labor but i see the part is only 170 for the timken model....so should i have the mechanic do it or is it a relatively easy job on our tracs? btw the way i've changed my own pads and rotors before too....thanks ahead of time

Click my wrench. The project is for changing out a CV axle but you have to do the same teardown to get the wheel bearing out. And it is rather easy to do.

It's a fairly easy job to do. I did mine on my '03 4x4 and the hardest part was the one bolt on the back of the hub assembly, other than that one bolt it was pretty easy. There's a project in the projects section on the job. Use plenty of wd40 or similiar lube on the bolts they can be alittle hard to get off.:D

<----------- Look in the projects section..... There is one on doing it..
