I usually pull the lower hose from the radiator end and get the deluge of coolant.

Capacity is 14 quarts, although more than 80% remains in the block. Buy 2 gallons

of unmixed Motorcraft Gold or Zerex G-05 and flush till it's clear. 5 years or 150K.

I also pull the lower hose off to drain it. Fill it with plain water and drive it around the block a few times with the heater on, drain it again, repeat once or twice more. Fill with 50% of capacity of coolant, there will still be water in the block and it may not all fit. See how it goes, you may need to drain a little more out to get all the coolant in. Unbolt the overflow tank and rinse it out too.

FYI: The only place I can find Zerex G-05 is NAPA Auto Parts stores in the Nashville area, it's becoming a little harder to find these days.

I remove the radiator drain plug & drain all that will come out & replace w/ G-05 ... 50/50 w/Peak Distilled Water for batteries & radiators [found @ Pep Boys]. And I do this ever 30k miles on our ST's.

My thinking is ... Antifreeze is cheap & ST repairs [radiators, blocks, etc.] are expensive!

Did my own complete flush !!!
