Hello All,

Got the famous "Check Engine Light" today! Went to Autozone and they said it was the "egr-insufficient flow" code. I have been searching this sight and now im more confused! Do I replace the sensor or the EGR first? The guy at Autozone said there were two different part numbers corresponding with when the Trac was built. How do I tell if mine is a Job1 or 2? I have replaced an EGR valve on a old car, do you think I could pull this one off too? I made an appointment with Ford for Monday, Ive got the extended warranty but a $50 deductible. Thanks Marsha

DEPENDING ON WHICH EXTENDED WARR. YOU HAVE IT MIGHT BE COVERED IT IS PROBABLY JUST THE DPFE SENSOR IF YOU HAVE A VIN I CAN CHECK TO SEE IF TI IS COVERED FOR YOU IF IT IS A FORD EXTENDED WARRANTY

DPFE covered by Ford 5yrs 60k for everyone

NOT SO, just on 01, 02 and SOME 03 models. I know because my 03 was one of the ones not covered even though the damn thing still failed early.
