Check Engine Light Success!

Just had the check engine light pop on last Tuesday night. At 200k miles I've been expecting the "cracked elbow" problem to show up at any time due to reading about it on this site. Looked up the parts for it on here and took it to AutoZone to check the codes. They were P0171 and P0174, as I remember it. Bought the little heater hose part for $3 since I didn't have time to wait for shipping and Ford was already closed. Put it on Thursday morning just before the 2-1/2 hour drive to Thanksgiving. The old one was cracked! The new one fit perfectly! No more light! Yay for MySportTrac.com!



I also broke the cruise control connection to the throttle body, but a couple of zip ties fixed that. I'm becoming an expert at using those things! Cruise worked all the way to family's house.

Yeah, I felt really smart, knowing what the problem was right off! It would have taken forever to find the problem without the information on this site.:wacko:
