I haven't made the first payment yet and the check engine light came on this morning. Is there anybody outthere that lives near Maple Valley WA that has a code reader? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I bet it is the common elbow problem or a gas cap seal issue......

Take the truck to an Advanced Auto, O'Reilly's, Checker's or which ever store you have there and they'll read it for free. Like Todd Z said, it's probably an easy cheap simple fix. Don't get overwhelmed and stressed out too quick, these trucks are easy to fix even for a novice. I didn't know much about emmissions and newer vehicles when I first bought my truck but being on this site I've learned sooo much and saved thousands of dollars in repairs by doing them myself and not needing to go to a garage or worse yet a dealer. let us know what you find out and we'll do everything we can to help you out. What motor do you have in your ST? Is the oil filler neck on the passenger or drivers side, this will help greatly in determining the problem and finding a solution.
