Check Engine Light

Driving to work today my check Engine light came on. Jsut wondering what any one else might think that the problem might be. I looked in the manual and it said that it was either a sensor or something with the fuel. I have not got to check the computer because I don't have one or know anyone that does. Just trying to save a little money.

Go to a Autozone or a Advance Auto they check it out for free.

Also your local mechanic may do it for free if he's a nice guy. But

try the auto parts store first. Best of luck. When you get the code,

post it here and we may be able to help with finding out the problem.

Alright you smart people Just didnt want to sound dumb when I was talking to the mechanic. The code that it came up with is 402 which seem sto be some type of EGR Valve. Has any one had to replace this and is it very hard to do.

Replace the DPFE sensor first...

That code is not for the EGR. As Jeff C said, replace the DPFE sensor.
