I've never seen this video before today. It was really cool. Sheryl Crow is put into a bunch of Steve McQueen footage, i.e. she's driving his Mustang in the Bullitt chase scene; and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. is driving the Charger. In another shot, she's racing a Ford GT-40 with Jr. chasing her. Oh, and the song's not bad, either.

It's ok.....

and then ended getting what she deserved.

By that do you mean breast cancer, Travis? No one "deserves" to get cancer.

And as for "breaking up" Lance's marriage, don't pin it all on her. Nobody forced him, he made his own choices too.

Heck, Lance was even by her side supporting her through her entire battle with breast cancer (even though they were no longer dating).

Personally, I don't care about all that soap opera crap. I just think that she's an extremely talented singer/musician and I enjoy her music.

I just thought I'd share a video containing cool Ford vehicles with my fellow Ford enthusiasts.

Lance was married, she wasn't. Lance couldn't keep it in his pants. He broke up his own marriage. Cheat on your wife, you're a slimeball. Period.

Glad you can all think into things a little further than expected. If I meant that I would have typed that.

Got what she deserved...dumped by Lance.

So now you can all remove me from the 'what an *******, he thinks somebody deserved cancer' list.

Isn't it amazing what people read into a sentence? Personally I saw absolutely no reference to cancer in your comment.

I do think you wrongly blame her for Lance's divorce, but that's only because I have friends that know him and will tell you what an egotistical bastard he is.

Great song though.

I think most of us assumed that Travis was referring to the cancer because that was a major tragic event which occurred to Sheryl Crow in the recent past. Sorry if the wrong assumption was made.

But, I still think you're wrong about her involvement with Lance Armstrong. As I previously stated:

And as for "breaking up" Lance's marriage, don't pin it all on her. Nobody forced him, he made his own choices too.

She has a history of "troubled" relationships. Check out a guy named Kevin Gilbert. A VERY talented guy that brought Sheryl (his then girlfriend) to his weekly "Tuesday Night Music Club" gathering for some jamming. The band worked with her and helped her put together her breakthru album of the same name.......then she dumped them and went solo.

Oh.....Kevin did some outstanding music that most of you will never hear and wrote most of her early hits. He died suddenly under some strange circumstances as have others in her past. She seems to be bad luck.

Travis, I too apologize for jumping on the "read too much into it bandwagon".

However....

[rant]

It still takes two to break up a marriage, and I *ALWAYS* blame the married person more than the single one...because the married person has more to lose and more people to hurt.

Oh, and why would you call someone you don't know a BITCH?

For all we know Lance Armstrong is the biggest bastard that ever walked the Earth.

A guy gets nut cancer, wins a few marathons, gets everyone to wear his stupid rubberbands around their wrists as some macho gen-Y thing, and all of a sudden he is a hero to the point that anything that happens BAD in his life must be someone elses fault?

I don't think so!

[/rant]

There...I am done! ;)

Stupid wristbands...read into what the whole program is about and how much money they are looking to generate for cancer research.

Not so stupid anymore - it's actually pure genius. Comparable to the pet rock - low cost product, everybody wants one, sell 55 millon.

Everyone knows the yellow wristband, the brand is very strong. Yes, they played on the 'lemming' attitude of our society that we live in but for a good cause. I bet they did not expect 55 million.

Additionally, how many other copy cat efforts has it launched to raise money? I wear one for PKD - www.pkdcure.org - it's seems stupid until you realize that you wear it to raise awareness because Polycystic Kidney Disease is the most common genetic, life threatening disease affecting more than 600,000 Americans and an estimated 12.5 million people worldwide - regardless of sex, age, race or ethnic origin. In fact, PKD affects more people than cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, hemophilia, Down syndrome and sickle cell anemia — combined. But most people have never heard of it unless they have a family member that has it.

TJR - it seems you have some built up hostility versus the man for some reason - he just may be a bastard but he is also doing a whole hell of a lot for a cause. And do not say, well he's only doing it because he is a survivor....that is why the majority of people get involved because they or someone they know need help - so it is always after the fact.

As far as his infidelity, poor decision on his part but he says he has a better relationship with his ex than he ever did before.

Actually, Travis, I have nothing against him at all. I just don't idolize the man to the point that I think that the breakup of his marriage is some "*******" fault.

Sheryl has been breaking up marriages since she started f*ig anybody that could help her on th Bad tour. She broke up a 15 yr marriage to the music director, dumped him started f*ing Clapton, he wouldn't do anything for her career, so she dumped him and started f*ing Henley, who finally got her a deal at A&M...so this is not new ground for that ****. BTW she burned everyone that helped her on her first album, and 1 of her co-writers was so upset by not getting the proper credits killed himself.. the bitch is a **** on a mission...feel sorry for your hero Lance

From http://www.tdfblog.com/2004/01/armstrong_shery.html (ok it's biased because it a Tour de France site)

He follows up with...

I really don't care about her **** life, I just happened to be around for the facts that I typed, the first guy was a very good friend of mine, she burned him not me.

None the less, my life goes on.

The expert opinion from a fanboy on a tour de France blog site paint Crow as a bitch and a **** and Lance as the "hero" who was seduced.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't aware of overwhelming evidence of Lance's heroic innocence and Crow's slutty, manipulative bitchiness.

Sorry, I still have to say that having nut cancer and schooling Frenchies on a bike doesn't make someone morally superior...it takes two to break up a marriage.

The song was considered an Official song of NASCAR, She sang it at several events for NASCAR fans. I believe it is on the CD Come on Come on
