I thought I'd post this here for those that aren't on Facebook, or aren't fans of Brenspeed's FB page. They posted these pictures from their shop today. I've also included the captions from each picture. Check out the exterior custom work on this STA.

2010 Adrenalin with Brenspeed Saleen supercharger conversion. 500 HP.

[Broken External Image]:

We do this conversion in house. We take an Adrenalin, sport trac, mountaneer, or explorer with a 4.6L engine and convert the top over to a Mustang, add a blower, and boom 500+ HP.

Look out stock Mustangs. We street raced our Mountaneer conversion pulling a golf cart on a trailer and killed a new edge mustang. All Wheel Drive = fast off the line.

In the same photo album, there are also a couple of pictures of a white STA having the Saleen S/C installed.

That Adren has some interesting accent colouring on it.

I kind of like the blue & red "highlights" - Don't think I'd put it on my truck though.

I'm an owner and driver of a New Edge Mustang. I have news for you. It's most probable that the Mustang driver wasn't even thinking about racing you. I know it's the last thing on my mind when some behemoth next to me blots out the sun.

If the car was inching forward, which might resemble "staging" at a sanctioned NHRA race to some mind-sets, the driver was probably just trying to get a view of the intersection because some jerk in a SUV blew the red light and stopped blocking the crosswalk and many other drivers' sight lines.

I'm not exactly a milquetoast driver, and I often accelerate with authority. But there's a big difference between having a little fun getting to the speed limit, and launching a three ton SUV at maximum power (and far beyond safe speeds) for some ego trip. But 9 out of every 10 SUV drivers do just that...apparently all the time!

For the millionth time, AWD/4WD can help with acceleration BUT NOT BRAKING. So when you pull reckless driving stunts in your land yacht, you're far more likely to maim or kill some innocent person. If you want to drive recklessly, take it off road...

While I don't "need" 500 HP in my STA, I do want to put a blower on it... I've seen a variety of reports about FI on AWD vehicles. How's the durability of the truck with the kit?

Easy Mustang Guy . . .

:driving:

No one on this site is trying to "maim" or "kill" you in their "land yacht" . . .

This site is full of car AND truck enthusiasts, obviously . . .

Regarding Brenspeed's quote, can you blame them from trying to sell their services?

I highly doubt they could sustain a successful business by selling to track-only drivers, so they post descriptions and stories to try and appeal to a larger market, no harm there. It's up to the driver to be responsible and although I haven't checked, I'm pretty sure they express responsible driving to their paying customers in some way, shape or form.

Apparently you've been rubbed the wrong way by a street racer in the past (thats your business), but bringing this type of strong negative input to a forum of truck enthusiasts can only bring one thing . . . enemies

Although a comical reaction to an innocent quote, strong opinions like yours belong in dedicated blogs. Maybe there, you can bring in enough traffic to convert all the reckless drivers of the world . . . hell, I might even read you stuff

Oh, and for the record, I personally have never street raced my truck

Thanks for the post TrainTrac!

The red and blue accents aren't my taste at all, but the other accents seem to kind of compliment the natural contours and look of the truck.

Something I noticed . . . the coolant tank is in a different location than my '08.

Are the '10 models set up like the truck pictured above, or is that most likely part of their conversion process?

I'm betting that the tank has been relocated to accommodate the blower.

The truck kinda looks like R2-D2's descendent!

I am very excited about the idea of a Saleen or Rousch blower in my truck. Wish there was someone closer to NYC to do the job though!
