where do you look to find out what comupter you. have. i bought the chip for steve it fits for a comupter code jxv3 and didn`t work for mine my st didn`t even crank. so i need to find out what code i have so i can ind anther chip. the right one and get rid of this one. thanks,

i know where the ecu is i even installed the chip on it. and it didn`t work. i just want to know where on the ecu i can find the right code so that i can get the right chip.

Right where Todd told you. If you look where he said, you will see a 4 digit code. That is your code.

99% of the Sport Tracs/Explorers/ranger's have the ports disabled on the rear of the PCM's and when you plug it in it wont even allow the truck to start. This is why I DONT sell chips to anyone with one of these vehicles.
