I have used gas. Of course they do sell the "Bug and Tar" remover, but in my opinion, you may as well just rub it with your dry hand. (it'll come off just as fast)



The trick with gas is to put it on, let soak, and wash off before it dries. Also, sniffing the fumes to long isn't a good idea. (unless you're into it:lol:);)
 
I just use bug & tar remover. If I really want to detail it, I scrub the cladding with Bleache-White and a soft brush then top it with Mother's Back To Black (the stuff is actually white and puts a nice shine on grey trim too).
