clean filter or buy new?

Would you clean these types of filters or is it just better to buy a new one? What is the best way to clean it? This pic is when it was clean:

Clean it. There are cleaning and oiling kits out there. K&N is one but any will do.

Spray it down with the cleaner, let soak. Then wash from the inside out with low pressure water. When you oil it. Do it lightly. Let it sit. Then look and see if any white gauze is showing. lightly oil that area. Remember, too much oil will cause problems with the MAF sensor. If that happens, there are sensor cleaners out there.

after you oil the filter, stuff some newspaper or paper towels inside to soak up excess oil as the oil you need to use is very bad for the maf sensors, and will gum it up fairly quickly.
