Talk about being a dinosaur, yea i am getting old, am also a major packrat.

Stuff i found today, most went in the recycle bin.

two timing lgts, two tach and dwell meters, three oil spouts with blades (oil used to come in cans you needed these things to get the oil out of the can)

complete assortment of Holly jets, 3 holly carb rebuild kits, two stromberg two barrel kits.

are for carbs lest the youngins do not understand:)

tons of delco and mallory point sets.

two complete ford head gasket sets (for flathead engines, had two 40 fords, two 46s,3 50s.)

volks beetle parts and tools to work on them, and a hand crank for a model t ford ( have never owned a mod.T) kept the handle, the rest is history.

just thought i would share some memorys.

Remember the movie The Jerk with Steve Martin?

He hates oil cans!

Happen to have any "transportation" cars hidden?

Maybe a '54 Vette or similar. Not asking too much. ; )

I have to say I have used every item you mentioned...

DITTO!!

Bill, I still have some of that stuff also. You had afew items I didnt.

I bet you could have ebayed some of it. If the stuff was working. I know some old timer die hards around here that could use some of it.

Old school tools and rebuilt kits bring in some nice money to classic car buffs.

I have most of your list in my garage for my old Merc.

I had to replace my broken timing light and wound up buying an old Penske-Sear Auto DC Professional Timing Light for $80

You may have thrown out a nice bit of change.:smile0009:

Now go fish them out of the garbage before the wife finds out what you did!

I've used and still have most of those things. What's the holley rebuild kits for, what carbs? I have a 700 cfm holley on my show truck that I need to rebuild. :smile0015:

I am now glad that I saved my timing light and dwell meter. I can use them on my 1955 Nash. I will be posting pictures soon (I hope) of the Nash on my trailer behind my 2010 STA.

Have you still got your tube of Delco distributor cam lube like I do?

How about those distributor clamp wrenches?

How about that long flexible screwdriver for the idle needles under the big old quadrajet? Mine has the changeable tip to put the allen wrench on for the Delco dwell adjustment through the access window.

Propane enrichment kit for the Chryslers?

Some late 70s/early 80s Chryslers had to have propane pumped into a vacuum port in order to set the idle mixture/idle speed. It was kind of a goofy deal, but not difficult.
