Guys, meant to mention this as well. Was washing the truck before taking it for the install, and found a couple of tricks. Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I just learned it tuesday on accident.

So I had some bug junk on the truck, and the normal washing wasn't getting it off. Thought, what if? So I went back inside and grabbed the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. And wow, did it ever work! Practically washed the truck with it. Even made the fine scratches on the hood become much much less noticable.

Also, a friend of mine told me about keeping the white lettering on my truck bright white with little effort. Bear with me on this, and if you doubt it, try it, it works fantastically.

- get a rock -

thats it. just a rock that is flat and fits in the palm of your hand. Get the tires wet, and rub a couple times, don't even have to push hard. And then rinse. Bam, bright white and no work at all.

Just trying to share the love.

For white lettering/whitewalls I have always had the best results with a soapy brillo pad. That or some Westley's Bleach White (not sure if they still make it, I haven't had white letters in many years...)

A nice tip for up inside your fender wells: Some of that foaming tire cleaner. I spray some up in there on all the black plastic parts while I am there cleaning the wheels. It leaves the wheel wells clean and not too shiny if you get the right kind. The Black Magic one usually leaves some film behind that attracts dirt, but the Turtle Wax or STP ones when I can find it does a great job.
