clothes dryer mystery

so, my dryer has been making a thundering type noise lately. Not all the time, comes and goes. My buddy is an appliance mechanic, gave me new drum rollers, seemed to help for awhile, then started again. He came over, changed the blower motor, $120 for parts and his labor, seemed to help for awhile, now tonight it's doing it again. What is left? There isn't much to a dryer, not much left to replace. I don't get it

Not much left to replace. How about the belt and/or idler arm? Very rarely do the drum supports fail. Gas or electric?

Could be another roller. Usually there are two.
